Meet our new Senior Manager, Business Development and Partnerships: Dr. Tegan Joseph Mosugu

Our team is growing! Lucky Iron Fish is thrilled to announce Dr. Tegan Joseph Mosugu as our new Senior Manager, Business Development and Partnerships. 

Tegan is a social impact, academic, and media professional. In the nonprofit world, he has supported a range of philanthropic and international development initiatives in the United States and Africa. For more than a decade, Tegan has worked in global health across a wide portfolio, including NTDs, NCDs, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, WASH, health systems strengthening, and more.

His social impact work has also addressed issues relating to gender/social equality, tech for good, human rights, and education, among others. In addition, Tegan has spearheaded a plethora of local and national campaigns in multiple countries. In media, he has worked on Daytime Emmy® Award–winning talk shows The View (Walt Disney Television) and The Rachael Ray Show (CBS Media Ventures), as well as NBC Universal and BET Networks.

As a global health scholar, Tegan focuses his research on the use of evidence-based interventions as tools for improving population health outcomes. He is trained in organizational behaviour, in which he explores the intersection of management, organizations, and sociology. He holds a Ph.D. in public and international affairs and a doctorate in health sciences, and earned his B.A. in history from Duke University at the age of 19. He is also an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and New York University and has an executive certificate in business administration from Notre Dame.
