Meet Our Summer 2020 Interns!

  • 2 min read

Lucky Iron Fish has welcomed two new interns to the Lucky Iron Family for the summer of 2020! Jun is heading into his fourth year of business at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University, while Muhammad is also heading into his fourth year and studying commerce at the Ted Rogers School of Management from Ryerson University.

Below, they tell us a bit about them:

Jun Lim

Marketing & Customer Support Intern

Hello! My name is Jun Lim, and I am the Marketing & Customer Support Intern at Lucky Iron Fish. I currently attend Wilfrid Laurier University as a business student pursuing a major in Marketing and minor in Environmental Studies.

Within my first week of working at Lucky Iron Fish, they immediately welcomed me to their team with open arms. I can confidently say that the best part about working here is the small and close-knit family. Additionally, they offer many learning opportunities for the interns, so I am incredibly excited to put my marketing and content creation knowledge and skills to use!

In terms of social impact, environmental sustainability and climate change are most important to me. I believe that we all can do more in helping to make this world a more sustainable and clean place to live.

The things that are most close to my heart are fitness, my camera, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact about me is that I can eat up to 10,000 calories a day, no problem.

Muhammad Sameer Chandoo

Project Coordinator Intern

Hello! I am Muhammad Sameer, interning at Lucky Iron Fish as a Project Coordinator and super excited to be interning here! Lucky Iron Fish interests me because of the like-minded people here and the staff that is so friendly and welcoming - I felt home on the first day of my internship!

Access to education and a healthy lifestyle means the most to me and when I realized LIF is on a mission to promote a healthy lifestyle, I jumped on the opportunity to work with them. I have always been interested in social entrepreneurship and this was a position where I could gain experience and knowledge in the field I am passionate about.

It has been just a week that I am here and I feel part of the team, the tasks are given to me align well with my interests and passion! I get to look at different things from a business perspective and gain more insight every day!

If someone asked what is close to my heart - I would say a smile. Starting my day with one and using it to overcome challenges and obstacles in life. Being at LIF and knowing my contributions make a difference and impact a person's well being brings a smile on my face, every day!

I have had an African Grey as a pet and I called her Crackers & yes I used to talk to her! :)
