This bright and cheery smoothie recipe came to us from our Instagram friend kmlittlesomethings. She's been a big fan of the Lucky Iron Fish for a while now, and uses it in her daily routine by incorporating it into this tasty smoothie. Check out what she has to say about it:

"I drink this blend almost daily for the iron + health benefits of all these greens. Combining the Lucky Iron Fish water with all these veggies + fruits that are high in vitamin C helps increase the iron absorption. I blend a big batch (this makes about 8 cups) at the beginning of the week and store it in the fridge to drink daily, making it super easy to boost my iron every day! As always with iron supplementing, make sure you’re allowing space before/after drinking this for iron absorption before eating/drinking foods that could interfere.

First, blend:

  • 4 c lucky iron fish water (I generally boil it the night before and transfer it to a large ball jar and allow it to cool on the counter overnight)
  • 3 c spinach (or kale, or some of each)
  • 5 celery stalks

Then add & blend:

  • 2 c pineapple (I use frozen, but fresh would also work)
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 small cucumber
  • juice + pulp of 1 lemon
  • juice + pulp of 1 lime
  • 1” fresh ginger (peeled)
  • 3-4 tbsp seeds/nuts (I use this to seed cycle, so I use sunflower seeds for 2 weeks and pumpkin seeds for 2 weeks - google for more info + to find which seeds to use when)

Also, if I have it, I add about 1/4 c either cilantro or parsley, but this is definitely optional.

Once throughly blended, transfer to jars to store in the fridge for up to 7 days."
